1. I have been told NOT TO WATCH that MOS rendition by my best U2-friend so I am avoiding it.
  2. He probably told you that since Mary knew the song better than Bono. He screwed it up twice, while she had the correct lyrics and timing
  3. His words were exactly: "DO NOT watch it - I beg you. The initial "I tieeeeed myself" by Bono is the very only thing that's slightly good about it, the rest of it is just a murder"...
  4. Well he is overreacting
  5. Yeah it is pretty bad, I have to go and watch the Rose Bowl version to redeem the song now.
  6. I'm not one for looking on the bright side but I really didn't see anything wrong with that. It wasn't brilliant, but Bono still sounds pretty good and is looking not too bad either. He certainly looks a lot healthier on a stage. I don't know what it is, but he looks like a decrepit old man when he's not wearing ridiculous outfits and prancing around a stage.
  7. I finally watched it (only MOS).

It's not that bad. Bono forgets the lyrics THREE times - I think that must be a record for his already high standards. He looks and sounds good though (he looks great, must admit), and the version is not that bad. I just missed Edge's solo and overall greatness and a little more "Adam" (?) presence. But it isn't that bad - and I am not one for the bright side either, as Ross says.
  8. here's Bono on Charlie Rose if anyone cares to watch it

  9. uhm dried out
  10. So I should be happy that I can't reach Youtube here in China to see Mos and Bono?
  11. Yes
  12. Larry's lookin old there
