1. nice Seaside Bar Song
less chances to have Born in the USA in the near future..

  2. i think you'll get a normal show both times.

Put another way i HOPE you get a normal show. I'm losing patience with the born in the usa outings in particular. You're never far away from no surrender/bobby jean/glory days/dancing in the dark and the rest turn up much more regularly than stuff off the river does. Presumably hannover will get darkness or born to run?

to me that's the one word you should never be able to throw at Bruce - dull
  4. i quite agree .. aside of Seaside but admittedly not too much
  5. for me it can even be convenient hehe
  6. Bland, again
  7. You whiners I bet that a 95% of the audience just got off of the show levitating and with a big smile...
  8. They probably did, but I'm sure glad I didn't get shows like these European ones on the Aussie leg
  9. May I just say that I dislike it when he opens with a song that isn't his? I'm fine with him covering other bands songs, especially if they're appropriate to the occasion, but I don't like them opening. Bruce has too many other great openers to open with rather than "Who'll Stop the Rain". I don't know if some of you all feel the same way, but I just feel like it isn't right.

For every negative there must be at least one positive though. Rosalita slotted at 6?!?! and 10 the night before????? When was the last time that Rosie came out before the encore?
  10. Who'll Stop the Rain only opens when it's appropriate.. And pissing down with rain. Wouldn't worry me if he opened with that, would be better than We Take Care of Our Own! And Who'll Stop The Rain > The Ties That Bind is fantastic.

Tracks 1-6 of that show looked like they would have been very good, but after that, the show just dies off fast.

The 70s/River Tour is probably the last and only times Rosie would have ever been that high, surely!
  11. i agree 100% that i'm whining - i think i've caught btx disease and the only known cure is 's tour next year. it's the predictability of these european shows that's pissing me off. first six or so anything can happen, then we take care/wrecking ball/spirit/death and then the dreaded announcement followed by usual runup to encores and usual encores modified only depending on which album was played. show over.

in 2009 he said they were playing full albums to make the shows special for themselves and the fans - so he's negated that experience particularly those who got bitusa shows as it keeps getting trotted out around the stadia of europe. Also it can clearly be interpreted as these are my best three albums which i don't believe they are but that's a personal opinion to which anyone is entitled. Playing a full album, any album, changes the shows dynamic. When you're putting together an album in the studio i doubt anyone has ever thought we'll put these songs in an order that can be transferred directly to the stage, would you end a set on my hometown - probably not. Yes there are acts who if they said we're going to do full album shows you'd jump for joy because it would mean you'd get songs you didn't normally or indeed ever. Bruce isn't one of them - particularly born to run, darkness and born in the usa all of whom's songs make regular appearances anyway. Now Bruce, let's talk about greetings, wiess, river, nebraska, tunnel?
  12. ok part two now i've had some breakfast etc

who'll stop the rain - Bruce complained for years about people taking the song born in the usa at face value and yet he's guilty of the same with who'll stop the rain and again he's detracting from his own history and fans experiences since he opened the vietnam vets gig with it in it's rightful context. If you want a bit of sarcasm etc if it's pissing down open with waiting on a sunny day. Got to say though i'm not a big fan of any of the covers particularly the likes of rockin all over the world, twist and shout which lend themselves too easily to heavy layers of schtick as Bruce calls it - i'm not too sure who in Bruce's fan base they do appeal to or whether it's like the old folk tale of the emporers new clothes and no one likes them but is simply too polite to say 'Bruce you know what give it a rest'. That said he could do Jersey girl every night and i'd be happy so i guess we're all full of contradictions.

Rosalita has never been this high before, even in it's first airings i think it was mid-set at least and made it's way swiftly to the end where it's stayed until this week. with the exception of 7/11/09 where it was again mid set on wiess night at msg.
