  1. I listened to the studio version of Inside Job today. Haven't done that in a while, as I usually only listen to PJ live (same with DMB). What a great track.....underrated IMO in the PJ community....would love to see this brought back and see Got Some dropped (die).

  8. Interesting.....Im looking forward to this and I will be watching closely ...this has to better then Ole, that was brutal.


    This is a very important/critical release for PJ. IMO,the band haven't released a great album since Yield. I want a complete album please. I dont find myself saying.."Hey let me bust out Riot Act or Binaural".....I have done this with DMBs last 2 releases (BW -2009 and AFTW - 2012). I love DMBs last 2 albums...

    Backspacer, for me, had filler songs on it, like Got Some, Supersonic, the awful Johnny Guitar, even Gonna See My Friend is ok..the rest is good, with Just Breathe and The End being the stand out tracks..and basically EV solo tunes. Plus, it was only 36 min long.

    U2 were in a similar spot back in 2000. They needed something great, as longtime fans like me were done with them......as we know, U2 delivered with the great ATYCLB..and then, they did it again with HTDAAB in '04........

    ....lets hope PJ can do the same.....deliver a great album, or at least something very very good...

  11. Wow 8th of July still some time away. If you read the anticipation on this all, the band is still hot. Agree with you ED, must be special. Read somewhere that Stone considers shows sometimes as sing alongs, agree with him, but that happens when you have no new material in years.

    A concert shouldn't feel like a Broadway show. It should feel like a unique experience, but some acts drag the same exact show around the globe for 18 months and never alter one note of it. Some acts feel they have figured out the perfect setlist that tells some sort of a story and builds to a series of climaxes. Do not believe them. There is no such thing as the perfect setlist. It should be constantly evolving.

    This is particularly rough on fans that see multiple shows on a tour. Phish, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Furthur and Dave Matthews Band go to great lengths to make each show completely special and unique for fans. Other acts should take note.
