1. If Chris Martin is a wanker...

Well then he and Bono should get along like best mates!

They'd be like two peas in a pod
  2. Alriiiight...what the hell's been going on here?! Had to catch up on a few pages of news! Exciting stuff...I just hope that the SBS video shoot doesn't mean no album for now
  3. Of course Chris Martin and Bono are good mates, only good mates can call each other a wanker.
Dont know why everyone make a fuss, meh publicity
  4. No real fuss, just a little fun. 'Wanker' applied to Chris Martin is indeed affectionate (apart from being true!).

Miles away from Noel's quip that Liam is 'a man with a fork in a world of soup' (not to mention 'he's got a better voice, but I'm a better singer').

    Bono's not an angry man

Well if Chris Martin is there and talking with Bono and Larry and that, I'm sure he's got to be on the album.

U2 probably thought, Coldplay had guests on their last album and that was a hit, why don't we do it too?

I doubt it, he probably just stopped by on invite to hear the album. Don't forget it's being mixed there, they're not recording anything (at least as far as we know). Nah U2 wouldn't have a guest like that, they don't need it.

This seems plausible to me too, and suggests that the album is really being mixed: if Chris has been invited to hear the album, there must be something close enough to completion to listen to. Good stuff
  7. Yeah I remember on NLOTH famous people were brought in to listen to the album when they were close to releasing it. Probably around 5-6 months before the drop date. This bodes well for the album being released this year!
  8. Can someone sum up whats been happening the past two weeks? I had finals and missed pretty much everything other than Chris Martin at the studio. Also, I WAS IN NYC LAST WEEK! IF ONLY I HAD KNOWN!!!! GARRRR
  9. Can anybody clue me in as to why Chris Martin is not a "welcome sight" in the U2 camp? I, a member of the U2 camp, am quite pleased with Chris Martin and Coldplay's work and I don't see any reason why the two should not be allowed to associate.
  10. That was not to be taken seriously, as many of us have pointed out in subsequent posts; if whoever wrote that really meant it, I think it was wrong. U2 have always been respectful of other people's work, and so - largely - have U2 fans. The day you start listing enemies you might no longer find yourself able to gather 70.000 people for a single concert

U2 are above needing people to 'feature' in songs on their albums. Do it on Duals by all means, but no proper studio work
  12. OK, Oasis might just be a counterexample to what I've just said
