dylbagz - there's a certain pensioner in new york who'll be proving that last sentence wrong .....

    Who's that?
  2. At least clover got one of the things he was after... Meeting into Jungleland!

Still no Incident without me around.. Anyone who's desperate enough to see it can fly me over and I'm sure it'll get played... My bet is Milan, Leeds or one of the last two nights in Ireland.. Otherwise I don't think that little beauty will pop it's head up again
  3. So Ronnie , tell us how was the show

  4. i could hear him singing in england

tried complaining to the u.n, amnesty international, even rang Bono but none of them did anything about it.
  5. ok here i am ... recollecting forces for monday night in San Siro hehe
i thought i was quite loud but didn't think that i could reach England hehehe
pre-set did almost my day .. well almost of course hehe .. all in a sudden, in the daylight with no sign from the stage, hearing the acoustic guitar starting to play and then he comes out is fantastic .. almost heart stopping .. hehe .. and The Promised Land and Growin up are really a great choice.
my girlfriend will never stop to thank me as she was about to go to the bath when i said her ".. and if he come out and play?" .. almost 5 mins later he was there on stage hehehe
coming to the main show .. i loved the start, again solo acoustic, with Tom Joad with Bruce so deep in the song .. then Long Walk Home and My Love that seems becoming quite usual in the beginning, but they're really a great way to start the concert
Two Hearts, wonderful .. it's always amazing seeing and listening those 2 hearts sharing the same mic .. like 2 children in love hehe
the 3 sign requests was very nice like choice ... especially for Something in the Night of course .. so emotionally .. and under the rain that started to pour.
Ties that Bind was a high point too and Boom Boom helped also by the crowd.
the threesome to "pay tribute" to the last record .. and a great Spirit in the Night with very nice jokes between Bruce and Jakey.
and then .. well Born to Run ....
lot had been said about full album played .. loss of unpredictability .. blocked set after and so on .. all valid reasonings but .. but living start to end no interruption such an album .. well it's really an awesome experience .. not many words to describe it ... pure magic.
and lets say a set that has Thunder Road, Backstreets, Meeting and Jungleland .. joined by Something, Two Hearts, Ties, Tom Joad acoustic is generally great indeed
after the jungleland shivers a run full of rock and fun with many jokes between Bruce and the crowd and the band
remarkable Shackled & Drawn i've to say
note for Ade .. there was a croatian sign, nice i admit, for .. Waitin on a Sunny Day hehe
ah about signs .. yes there was a beautiful one for NYC Serenade with the 3 baloons for the N Y C attached at the serenade written .. but a couple of letters flew away almost as soon as show started.

in the end i'm fully satisfied of what i lived since 5pm on .. something better could be done after BTR, but in some way i see that part as a warm-up for Milano hehe
    anyway i can't complain at all .. and i don't
  6. At least you've got a couple of days to recover, back to back and travel is a killer (particularly if you've got serious health problems at the best of times, sunderland to manchester plus crap weather did me no good last year). Born to run i guess is the best of the three choices as you do get meeting and jungleland. I still hope i get a normal show plus i just wish he wouldn't say and now we're going to do ...... that way the serious fans get the realisation of what's going on and the very casual fans aren't really in on it. Good luck in milan I hope you don't get incident (cos i think it's only coming out once and you know where i need that to be).
  7. thanks friend .. i will take a contrary sign .. "no Incident" .. even though i risk my safety when people around will see it hehehe

ps: luckily San Siro is close to my home
  8. for god's sake don't take a sunny day sign, croatians, eh, can't live with em (certainly can't work with their husbands - i used to - it's a long unpleasant story), take a sign for zero and blind terry.
  9. I don't reaaaaaaaally get all the fuss over Incident.. Maybe I'm just spoiled seeing as it comes out at 40% of my shows.. But I'll take it over pretty much anything from BITUSA!
  10. listening to hanging rock second night i very much understand your thoughts on the beginning.

i think incident has a very loyal following and outside of that most people would wonder what the fuss is about. If i was forced to choose my favourite song it would come down to that or the much more obvious thunder road - on 99% of days though i'd go with incident now. It was for many years one of the great lost songs live, only appeared once on the river tour, never again until 1999. It had a brief spell in 2007 where it almost became a regular event but it seems to be vanishing again. I'm with you all the way on born in the usa, strangely i don't mind dancing in the dark as it is what it is a hit for the encores and downbound train is welcome anytime, and i wouldn't mind a few more cover me's and an odd i'm on fire. darlington county and working on the highway i could happily never hear again i just don't get why they are so frequent. Bobby jean and no surrender are clearly joined at the hip but should be on the subs bench in my opinion. Born in the usa really has had it's day as a song, glory days seems to be done on autopilot plus it's another song like darlington and working where he can mess about for ten minutes with false endings etc etc. I don't even know why i'm going down was on the album given what was left off and my hometown was very much of it's time.
