1. Fleetwood Mac just became a sure thing for tomorrow night. Booyah.
  2. I'm planning to see "Of Monsters and Men" in Italy in July.
  3. Highly recommended
  4. I know. Still the best album of the last year for me!!

  5. And, just like that, not a sure thing. As in not happening.

Oh well, guess I'll just listen to Rumours today.

  6. Sorry to hear that, Matt. You'll be as disappointed as I was when I missed the general sale. I still have an opportunity to buy tickets from someone else, but not at over £100 a ticket.

By the way, Primal Scream were great. Unfortunately, Stone Roses owned them in the end - however, they did have headliners advantage.
  7. I wasn't horribly impressed by the Stone Roses at Coachella, but I was watching from a very relaxed position outside the main crowd...even though to be honest, the crowd didn't look very energetic anyway. The band really doesn't have a strong presence in the US.

She Bangs the Drums and I Am the Resurrection were obviously pretty cool, though. I had also just seen Blur so they were a tough act to follow. Very glad you enjoyed them though - a great rare ticket to have to your name.

I'm not that disappointed to have missed Fleetwood in hindsight. I am a die-hard fan of about 45-60 minutes of their music, and their shows have been lasting 2hr40. Would it have been great to see the talent on stage and catch all of my favorite tunes live? Yes. Would it have been worth it for how much I would have spent on beer in the off time? Probably not, honestly. I listened to "Rumours" last night and all was well.

How was "Loaded" and "Come Together" in Primal Scream's set?
  8. They don't have that much of an American following, that's probably why the crowd wasn't rowdy. Of course, because it was a Glaswegian crowd and the fact that they were the headlining act made the crowd go apeshit. It was a very tight performance with an energetic showing from the audience.

Yes, those two were great. As were 'I Wanna Be Adored', 'Made Of Stone' and 'Fools Gold'. Yeah, if you had just seen Blur then it would have been difficult for The Stone Roses to top them. I'm overly jealous of you witnessing Blur live. It tears me up inside. I need to see that band sometime soon.

I suppose if you aren't THAT big a fan then it isn't too bad in the end. I'm quite a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac – not only do I love Rumours but I adore Tusk, Tango in the Night and Fleetwood Mac. My mother really wants to see them too so I'll try and snag some tickets from now until October.

They didn't play 'Come Together' as they only had around 50 minutes stage time. 'Loaded' got a monumental reception when it was played. However, the crowd went nuts when 'Rocks' was played.
  9. I'm going to make an educated guess that you'll see Blur live in the next 5 years.

    Glad Primal Scream kicked ass!!
  10. HUGH LAURIE & The Copper Bottom Band in July...

    Autoimmune or lupus?
  11. ^ they are awesome.
