Maybe someone with a deeper knowledge of the Frech language can provide some more info, but from what I'm reading, Bono says 1) it's probable that U2 go back on tour in 2014 althought they're not quite ready yet, 2) they will be playing at the new stadium in Nice, 3) playing Nice is almost like playing "home" already, and 4) the album is really close to be finished.

Yep, this is it - still pretty vague, and no boosting statements; so I'm still hopeful!

you still have time don't be hurry hehe
  5. Reasonable translation

Bono: "too eager to play with U2 at the new stadium's Nice!"

Come as a neighbour of his property of Eze, where he spent the summer, as every time that U2 is not on tour, Bono participated yesterday afternoon in Nice at the unveiling of a plaque in tribute to his countryman James Joyce.

When asked in an aside on his group projects, including a new album is expected in the coming months, Bono said with a smile that the disk was "very close to be done". As to the possible participation of U2 in the inaugural concert of the new Nice Stadium, the singer has been clear: "you have too look forward to play at the new stadium!" For U2, playing Nice is like playing at home. But the group will certainly not willing to turn so quickly. It will surely come to the inauguration but, for a concert, he will have to wait a bit. Probably in 2014."

The appointment is made. For once, they are fans of U2 that will be "jouasses"!
  6. i bet Nice won't be in the next tour hehe
  7. I believe what I've done in my previous post is called "trolling" by the hipper, more tech-savvy crowd.
