1. It's good to keep our feet on the ground! I still think that NLOTH was a good album, and I certainly listened to it every day for a couple of months... But AB is different - it's a lot more of a turning point, and so many songs on it are so good. I'm confident we'll like 13th more than NLOTH, but let's see...
  2. I don't even dislike NLOTH, I swear. The songs on it are quite good. However, with everything being relative, I find it hard (even "unfair" to both albums involved) to compare the two.

In any case, I am still very much looking forward to a new release and a (2014) tour to follow.
  3. NLOTH is full of great songs, some of them are among my favorite since Pop. But this is an old discussion, I think we're beating a dead horse
  4. I just found that there was too much hype surrounding the release of NLOTH so I am doing my best to "reign in" my expectations on this one.
  5. When ATYCLB, HTDAAB, and NLOTH were released, we heard the same thing. Best album since Achtung Baby, best album ever, etc. The most you can take from enthusiastic responses by Gavin Friday, Daniel Lanois, and the like is that it's another good U2 album.

I think we're all doing more or less the same.

I just want an effin' release date man
  7. I read somewhere its their most innovative album since No Line

  8. Yes, me too. I've also heard the rumour that it's their best material in years!!
  9. I read that Edge is on fire
  10. I heard the new album sounds like, "punk rock from Mars!"
