  10. Well I think if it drops silently, it'll all of a sudden be all over the net and radios everywhere anyway, regardless of what U2 think, they are that big, so it's as good a marketing tool as any.
  11. Yes. And they would fulfill the wish of many fans who've said they should do "a David Bowie" and release it without much hype and announcements. I would personally love it.

    This Lance Schart fella seems like he is well connected and has the resume to give a pretty reliable prediction.. He used to work for the Grammys and is involved with media marketing, relations and communications, plus his photo is with Bono himself...
