1. LOL....

Dont bring up that show Matt.....it was great until.....
  2. To torture myself, I am making yet another mega-mix (but I haven't made one of these in a few months) that contains songs from all of the show that I could/should have attended in my area since 2000 (when the official bootlegs began being released).

There's about 15 shows to select songs from (not sure if I should include Buffalo and/or Ottawa)!

If I only had a time machine.
  3. An NYC version would probably bring about some classic renditions, I gather.
  4. I just realized that those two Brooklyn shows are on Friday and Saturday nights.

Some cities/fans get all the luck!

  5. Uh, oh. I'm quoting myself.

According to setlist.fm, the following shows would be "eligible" for such a compilation:

    MSG 2, 2010
    MSG 1, 2010
    MSG 2, 2008
    MSG 1, 2008
    East Rutherford 2, 2006
    East Rutherford 1, 2006
    MSG 2, 2003
    MSG 1, 2003
Uniondale, 2003 (I'd omit that song)
    Jones Beach 3, 2000
    Jones Beach 2, 2000
    Jones Beach 1, 2000

I decided to NOT include "mini" performances like Irving Plaza or SNL 2006 as they are not available on an official bootleg.

You attended all 12 shows that I listed didn't you, Ed?
  6. It was a great performance of Bu$hleaguer so why omit it?
  7. There might be a copyright issue with the PJ20 release???????

  8. Ron, I was thinking about you the other day. (No, not in a weird way.)

A bunch of us are "celebrating" our upcoming PJ shows while others got to enjoy seeing the band last summer. You, my good man, also deserve to see them.

In all sincerity, have you not been to a PJ show since 2010? That's just doesn't seem right! It was YOU who started this insane thread in the first place!

They'd better get their asses to Italy in 2014 - for multiple shows in the north!
  9. i didn't attend that shitty festival in 2010 or any of the few otherdates .. i was about to chase U2 at that time hehe .. so my last is of 2006
i hope they will do a real tour next year if not .. fuck them! i will "comfort" myself again with the boys (hopefully) like last and this year with Bruce
  10. I can appreciate why you wouldn't attend a festival to see them - I highly doubt I would either, even it was in Toronto.

I've never been a huge concert-goer and I've only attended one festival (Lollapalooza, 1995...meh) and am quite sure that I'd never attend one again unless PJ, U2, RH, etc were ALL there- which is somewhat unlikely. Nowadays, I get to the stadium/arena shortly before the band goes and leave immediately after the final song is performed. I'm 40 now and have no desire to fight crowds.
  11. ^ all of that is understandable The thought of a festival featuring Radiohead, Pearl Jam and U2 has surely enough strenght to move something deep inside me but it's so implausible that it's laughable hahaha.
