Brandon has serious problems to be perfectly in tune when the music is quiet or when there's mainly drums & bass. It happens live in many songs (the start of Bling, the middle eight of Spaceman (my global position system, etc), the start of FRU -yesterday it was specially awful-, Glamorous Indie R&R, the start of I Can't Stay and almost the whole of Shadowplay) but it also happens in studio (Shadowplay, the end of Bling come to mind).
Of course it's not like he's completely out of tune, he's a trained singer and a gifted musician after all, but he lacks some fine adjust and it bothers me a lot.

Do you notice his voice having that problem when you're there in person? I know what you mean, I can't listen to very many of their live performances over headphones without seeing them because his voice can bug me too. BUT, I don't mind it when I'm seeing him do it in person or on video. It's weird, I wonder how he'll sound like ten years from now?
  2. I've only seen them once (Sept 2012), and I remember it bugged me on Spaceman and Shadowplay, yes. I just never got to put together a full list and share my thoughts out there.
  3. I'm just back from the concert in Lucca...I have to say, although the small venue, the performance has been pretty impressive with Ronnie's drumming and Brandon's voice as highlights....I'd have never believed I ' d have said something like this one day, but it's been quite an emotional night for me, almost like a U2 gig!
  4. Ronnie is absolutely mindblowing to see live, as much as Will Champion from Coldplay. Both are averagely talented but give e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g when performing live. Amazing to see I got really emotional on my Killers concert too.
  5. Wow, Brandon is in absolute TOP VOCAL FORM today. He's nailed even the middle eight in Spaceman! haha

EDIT. Ok, here came Shadowplay and his classical "out-of-tuneness". Anyway, the rest has been perfect til now.
  6. A shortened proshot version of the show that was webcasted live last year (3 days after I saw them in Madrid). Werner Herzog was the director, and although the edition is superb and elegant, I miss too many songs and the audience is not as brilliant as we're used to. Anyway:

  7. Thanks Sergio!
  8. hey guys have you seen this?

sounds pretty cool (waiting for the DVD)
  9. That is a cool recording of a cool song played at a cool event.

Gotta love the description of the vid: "We'd like to take a moment to sincerely thank those of you that made it out to the Wembley Stadium show last month. What a real pleasure it was to play for you all. We filmed some of the show and caught the Wembley Song on tape. We took out all the bad shots of Ron to make us look cooler, too. Enjoy."

And of course the first comment, with which I heartfully agree: "I'm so PROUD OF YOU GUYS! I don't know what to say, because of all these feelings, I'm crying, owh. But I will try to. You've come a long way to Wembley, yeah. And I'm happy with you, guys. How you've grown, it's right, but you always was the best for me, and you are now. I wasn't on Wembley, and I feel so bad about it, It's hard to handle, anyway I supported you with my whole heart. I Love you too much. And thank you for all you have done to us. Nothing can compare to these feelings. Daay ooh.."

On an unrelated note. Brandon and the babes:

  10. Assuming that video will be how the DVD looks, can't fucking wait
  11. im sorry for my messy redaction - ive surely had a few. buuuuut yyeah i agree alex. Honestlyt i think its gonna look amazzzzzzzzzig and i will regret even more not habing being there. it's amazing, i can yotally suvbscribve the youruve comment i copied. i mean, i have followed the killers for longer thna any other indie band, i started being a fan in 2006 when a friend tolkd me to listen to a song bhy them and ive been hooked ever since. muse and arcvbrtic monkjeys are aewesome and technicxally jawdropping but theyr'e nowhere THE KILLERS ARE EMOTIOnally for me. b randon and the guys mean so much to mee that they miught very well be 2nd in my list after u2 in terms of emootional connection... and i was so proud to see they were playing wembley, one of the bigges venueds ever, and one ogt the most important stadioms in the world. sure i was pissed not to be there but aboce all i was utterlt PROUD to see that a band that was mid-filling 400 people venues bands 10 years ago has grown and went this far.
