1. I'm listening to a U2 live mix I did a long, long, loooong time ago. Something like 5 years and a half ago. Read the discussion here if you please:

Currently on With Or Without You (live from Milan 2005). This song has never been a favorite of mine but I have to admit that it's staggeringly powerful at the end, with the audience taking over.

  2. U2 - Bad

From the same compilation said above (that means Bad/Streets from Boston 2001)...

    Not fade away,
    Not fade away,
    No,
    No,
    No,
    No,
    Not fade away,
    No,
    Not fade away,
    No,
    Wide awaaaake,
    I'm wiiide awaaaakeeeeee....

    I'm not sleeping.

  3. I'm listening to that version of WOWY from Milan 2005, omg I forgot how "old" Bono sounded in 2005 as opposed to the 360 Tour. But still a great version

Yes, his voice during the Vertigo Tour left much to be desired, but they were passionate about it, and that's what counts. The famous Still Haven't Found > All I Want Is You (dancing with the girl!!) > COBL from that show is epic

  5. YES, that transition and performance is one of my favorites! Especially since 2006 the U218 and Milan DVD were the first releases I anticipated as a diehard fan. oh the memories. I lost my Milan DVD years ago so this is definitely a nice throwback.
  6. and I forgot how nice the Vertigo Tour stage was In my mind I assumed it was ghetto compared to 360 LOL Damn now I want to rewatch U2 3D it's been YEARS.
  7. Nice to hear your particular story about the Milan DVD. I still can't wait to AIWIY in a normal way (if at all), I guess I never will. But hey, there are hundreds of other songs to listen

    Currently,

Tori Amos - Running To Stand Still

Nice version I've found surfing on my hard disk (besides that compilation haha):

  8. This looks VERY interesting...looks like it's originally from before my time here at U2start began!

You know how much I love compilations! Can I assume you used Nero Soundtrax?
  9. What happens if you go to a U2 show next year and they play All I Want is You at your show? Oh wow I never knew she covered Running!! I'm definitely going to listen to this right now!

Dude I vaguely remember stalking that topic where you were working on the tracklisting with Gerard!! I was a newbie here so I don't think I posted much then hah

It was super nice, indeed. I remember being ASTONISHED at it when I got to the stadium (and to the first rows). It was my first U2 show ever (2005-08-11 - Madrid) so it's understandable, but watchings DVDs and videos in later years reaffirm me in the idea that it was an amazing stage. Amazingly enough, one of the few memories I have (and caress) from that show is Miracle Drug, with the most beautiful screen works I've ever seen:
