1. Half photography, half painting... Full awesomeness.

  2. OMG
  3. Thank you very much, sir

  4. Seriously, it's absolutely mindblowing. Of course, there are a lot of them which are breathtaking, but this particular one left me just speechless. Perfectly defined plane, totally blurry background.
If I may ask, how did you take it? Or is that like the magician's trick that should not be told?
  5. It really does like motion blur (horizontal lines are sharp, look at the fence above the tail). So its not blurred due to being out of focus. Aidan. how did you do it, curious as well here
  6. Maybe he panned the camera while taking the photo? Sounds reallly complicated though.

  7. I'm sure he slightly panned the camera, what I'm wondering is: has the camera some kind of subject-following system or something like that? Otherwise, having the plane perfectly on focus is nearly impossible - specially on a subject that moves at such high speeds and using so much zoom.
  8. Stumbled upon this topic. I use photography in my work and it's also one of my favorite hobbies.

    I use Canon cameras and have an xSi, a T3i and an s90. I mostly use Tamron lenses and have a 28-75 2.8, a 17-35 2.8-4, a 70-200 2.8 and a Canon 50mm 1.8 prime as well as some tubes and a 2x teleconverter.

This photo was taken at about 50 feet in the waters around St. Thomas, USVI where we vacationed (and did some diving) this past Christmas. It's probably the best I got and was taken with the s90 for which I've purchased a custom underwater housing.

It's a spotted moray and I didn't even notice the grouper behind it till I got back to the computer to look over my shots.

I look forward to looking through the rest of this thread. Definitely some skill amongst my fellow U2 fans!

I'll post some more photos too.
  9. Welcome to the forum, gurt, and welcome to this wonderful topic Looking forward to hear (and, in this case, see!) more from you!
