    This photo was taken at about 50 feet in the waters around St. Thomas, USVI where we vacationed (and did some diving) this past Christmas. It's probably the best I got and was taken with the s90 for which I've purchased a custom underwater housing.

    It's a spotted moray and I didn't even notice the grouper behind it till I got back to the computer to look over my shots.

  4. I'm saving money to buy a new lens, but I don't know wich one I'll choose. The options are: wide one (probably 8-16mm or 10-20mm), fisheye or 50mm.

    Any word on this would be lovely

    Which ones do you have already? A standard (I guess 18-55) and your super-tele?

    I like fisheyes but they're not really very useful or versatile, you can only do a couple of good pics with it. I would get a super wide (8mm is insane!) instead, but others might have another opinion of course!

    As LAS said, what do you have already? Where's the gap in your coverage? What do you like to shoot?

    I was told early on that I just had to have a 50mm prime, so I picked one up. It i sBY FAR my least used lens. Sure, it's a 1.8, but my walk around is a 2.8 and is more versatile. I use the prime mainly as a macro when combined with the tubes that I have.

    My next lens will be a super wide as I shoot home interiors for my job and my current wide can't do what a super wide would do.

    I'd also like to get a fisheye, but it's a gimmicky lens and I can't see using it too much although it'd probably be fun - at least for a while. I definitely plan on getting one, put it's not a priority (for me).

    The downside of all this is that the super wide is likely the most expensive of your choices.
  7. So here's a few that I took about an hour ago.

    We have hawks in our neighborhood here in southern Wisconsin. We see the remains of their kills from time to time on our lawn or deck and sometimes we even catch them feeding.

    This hawk landed in the tree next to our deck while we were eating supper tonight. I could see that he had something and went to get my camera. When I got back out, he was on our neighbor's roof.

    The racket that the song birds were making at him was crazy as the sought to drive him off. Eventually, he decided to head home with what looks like the hind leg of a rabbit...

    Amazing pics

    About my lenses, I already have one 18-135mm and one 100-400mm

    This new lenses I want to buy is just for fun so basically I'll take pics of people and some landscapes.

    At this moment, I'm thinking about getting a wide one with a fixed focal lenght (probably 14mm or 17mm).
  12. I took this some months ago in Cadiz (south of Spain, where part of Linear was filmed). No one guesses that it was taken with a Nokia N8 phone and not with a full camera
