1. Yeah that was my thinking also. Leeds is fairly decent which is great - always seems like the best shows have the best quality boots. To me anyway
  2. How's 2013-05-08 Turku? I just had a look at the set, was alright

  3. it's a good gig but the sounds little more than average, i think we got spoilt by some of last years though i suspect some of the 'missing' gigs may turn out to be the ones with the best sound when they finally do surface. As a gig cardiff is good but the sound is fairly similar to turku etc you can tell it's recorded in a stadium with a roof on. i literally have a box 3 feet by 2 feet just of bruce cd's i haven't listened to. And a similar one with all the rest i haven't listened to yet either. And the pile of dvd's to watch is now visible from space - i know cos one of the bloke's on the iss rang me to ask if he could borrow one. i think i have to live to around 140 to get through them all if i start now.
  4. who knows .. new album ... quite likely spring/summer in US ... autumn in Europe .. arena ..
  5. on the tour statement/announcement whatever it doesn't say wrecking ball 2014 tour so i presume there is a new album - maybe november.
  6. Well I wouldn't even get your hopes up for that. Gundinski has said it is a one off.. Could be just saying that for the moment to keep the secrecy surrounding the new album, or, maybe, it actually is a one off tour in fairness to us Aussies

Anyone got a feeling about which of the Aussie shows will be the best? I'm trying to work out which ones ill get to - all Brisbane shows are a given, and I think they might be the best stand in Au as they are last. Hunter Valley shows will be like Hanging Rock - full of casuals that have come from everywhere, but if he can pull off a show like HR2 it'll be up there with his best. Thinking Melbourne as my last choice. But Sydney is also an option as flights to both are so cheap. Just trying to figure it all out and try get to the best shows just going off their scheduled dates.. Perth, Adelaide and NZ aren't options
  7. Amazing artwork for an amazing version:

  8. Nice cover but it lacks the intensity in my opinion. Awesome live artist btw!
  9. Bruce Springsteen is coming for the first time in Western Australia for a couple of shows,
    cool.

  10. Do you live there?

  11. Listen 2013 Wrecking Ball during my holiday:

    Coventry: Good
    Milan: very good
    Turku 07-05: Good
Hannover: Good sound but less audience noise and no live atmosphere , concert does not "hit" me.
Rome: average, no bass at all, sound is clear.
Monchengladbach: average/good, much talking around taper, but clear sound and great setlist and I was there, so less critical.

To my opinion there are more better 2012 Wrecking Ball recordings.

Listen also on your advice to: LA Staples Center 1999-10-23, What great perfomance and excellent sound.

  12. Yeah, of course, nothing comes even remotely close to Bruce's own version (how would someone dare?). Frank knows that and he just chose to do a low-profile cover, which I like a lot. And the detail of ending it just with the "It's a town full of losers, and I'm pulling out of here to win..." is frankly awesome.

Awesome artist live indeed. He covers this song regullarly, as well as some from Queen
