  4. I think that 'lost songs' should also encompass songs that haven't been played since their respective tours - ie Dirty Day, Hawkmoon 269, Crumbs From Your Table, etc.

  6. Oh, and I know I already said this in my original post, but Red Hill Mining Town needs to be played. I love that song so much. It never gets the same amount of attention as Acrobat.
  7. Red Hill Mining Town is the only Joshua Tree song I always skip. In fact, it's not even on my iTunes library. Would prefer Drowning Man over it anytime. Now that song deserves a live debut, it got so close to it that it was painful when they didn't have the balls to play it

    I see this coming to the light of day on a VERY special occasion - i.e. their FINAL concert(s) ever.

    Since you did mention Red Hill Mining Town, a listen to "In God's Country" via the Rattle And Hum movie has convinced me that this song begs for an epic return to the live stage.
  9. I'd love to hear In God's Country in concert; I loved the snippet in Beautiful Day during early 360. I'm not a fan of Drowning Man really and don't get all the love for it here; I'm glad it wasn't played during 360.
  10. I'm glad they eventually didn't play it, since I don't like it in the rehearsals we've heard. But I adore the song and I'd love to see it live somehow. I loved the IGC snippet too!
  11. Not to mention Trip Through Your Wires! Sure, we hear Bono play a bit of harmonica on the last 3 tours but his performance of said song on TJT Tour was his finest and his most rootsy. Seeing him play harmonica and get so "lost in the music" like that (no pun intended) is quite a sound to behold and a sight to see.

    I also forgot to mention God Part II.

    I've heard about these but never actually been able to find them (although they're probably in a very obvious place ), so I reserve judgement. But I can certainly imagine Bono of that era stretching his voice unnecessarily far to reach the notes. There is always a different way of singing a song and I have no doubt in my mind that he would be able to handle it today with minor tweaking. I am actually confident that they will play it one day. Even now Bono seems sentimental over that song.
