1. Recently, I just started planning and making a "fanbook" for the boys! I thought it'd be a super cool idea, and I'm going to give the book to the band once they come to Dallas, TX on the next tour.

The purpose of this book is to show the band exactly how much they mean to us. I will be accepting the following:

    -Fanart
    -Stories/Experiences
-Why you love the band (stuff like that..)
    -Pictures
-and other various things similar to those listed above.

The process of making a fanbook will be very exciting and fun, but it will be difficult, especially dealing with printing, money, and collecting, so I’m going to lay down a couple of ground rules.

-Each person will get two pages, either front and back or across (depending on what type of letter you’re writing and how big/long it is).
-No inappropriate or sexual comments or drawings
    -No rude comments/criticisms
-Don’t ask for concert tickets, backstage passes, or anything about their personal life because it’s pretty useless- they probably won’t respond.
-If you print your letter at home, please print it in colour and not in black and white if you have photos/colours on it.
-Please put your name on your letter (you don’t have to include your last name)

As for how you send me your letter, you can either scan it and email it to me (email provided at bottom), or you can mail it to my house (info for this at bottom).

The project will begin on August 26th, 2013 and end November 26th, 2013. This will give me enough time to sort out the letters and bind the book together before the band starts touring (I’m sure they won’t start until sometime in 2014) and also provides enough time for fans to come up with creative ideas. Once the band visits Dallas, I will give it to them.

And also, I will be giving one autographed photo (of a band member of your choice) to each contributor as a gift for being a dedicated, loving U2 fan.

Please spread the news around! Tell all of your U2er friends! I would love to have more than 100 fans from all over the world send letters and art pieces to show to the band!

If you're interested in participating, please contact me:

As for my house address, you may ask that through Facebook (private message) or email.

Thank you and I hope you participate!
  2. I like this idea a lot!!! Kudos and respect for wanting to do this.

If you want, we can spread the word on our official U2start twitter and maybe get the project running by mentioning other huge sites (atu2, u2wanderer, etc).
I will be sending my own inupt when I get it together in a few days too. Excited for this!

Also, if you need any help for organizing things or whatever, here I am, you can contact me over here by PM or by twitter: @LikeASong_90. Hugs mate!
  3. I'm never actually thought about spreading the word on u2start's Twitter- that's a great idea! It would be very much appreciated if you could spread the news on Twitter and on other sites.

Thank you so much! I'm excited to see your letter! Xxxxxxx
  4. Sounds like an interesting project. I'll think of my own story and maybe a picture of my room (when it's finished).
I hope the band will get this AND read it.

    Just one question :

    You've got 100 signed pictures ?
  5. Haha yes, I have a TON of autographed photos! My journalism teacher has over 1000 of 'em and he gave about 300 to me to give away. He's been a fan since around 1981, so he's had a lot of chances to get autographs!
  6. I guess some/most of them must be copies, huh? It's hard to imagine a bunch of 1000 original signed photos. That's a fortune.
  7. Maybe! It wouldn't be a surprise. I'll ask him soon, school starts tomorrow for me and I get to see him.
  8. They're pretty big photos though, so I guess even if they were copies, they'd make pretty nice posters!
  9. Sure! It wasn't a critic at all, just some logic
  10. Oh, you do
    Well, ok
