I kindly ask to all of you for a prayer or just a good thought, send it off to Emiel's memory and his family and close friends, who are the ones that are suffering now. Emiel is free now, and even though this isn't the end we had all hoped for, it might be better for him to stop suffering. He's had a great life and he has given a great life to his wife and above all to his beautiful children, who will remember him as the great man he was. And we will remember him as a great fan of the band he loved the most, as well as a fantastic person that used to spread love and hope around. That's a lot better than most of us can say.

Here's to you, Emiel, you will be remembered forever, you will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.

    Rest in peace.

As many other times, I couldn't have said it better than you, Serigo.
Emiel deserves his peace after such a hard time.
What I'll remember Emiel by, is his optivism. Until the end, he always enjoyed the little things in life, like just sitting in his garden with wife and kids, listening to his favorite music... Many people would just be crying in bed, asking why and curse everything. Emiel didn't. That's a lesson someone from another country learned me, behind his computer...
Farewell Emiel. Strength and condolescences to his family.
  4. Coming to the forum now to check for some updates never expecting this sad news. Rest in peace Emiel.

My condolences for the family and all the strength during this hard time.
  5. Goodbye Emiel, we didn't know each other very well but I can honestly say that you were one of the positive presences around here that made this site worth coming to every day.

Condolences to the family, may he be remembered by his loved ones forever.
  6. So hard to believe...rest in peace Emiel.
  7. Rest in peace Emiel I can't believe this. He taught us to stay strong and positive through all the struggling. Fuck I can't believe it I still think he's going to comment on this later...
  8. Rest in peace Emiel
  9. still walking on....just in a better place.
  10. RIP! Take care and goodbye :-(
  11. Walk On Emiel, Walk on.
  12. Very sad news. Emiel, you've always appeared as a great guy on these forums, and I think you also always seemed to be a fantastic father. I am happy your family at least got some chance of getting some closure, even if full closure isn't really possible. I think that is better for those in whose memories you will now live on in, than when death strikes in an instant, completely unexpected. Among those who you will now be carried on by, are a lot of people on this forum. People who you've touched deeply with your defiance in front of this horrible disease, this bastard that you didn't let grind you down, because you kept on being a positive presence in this world. That's a task that requires an extraordinary human being, one such as you.

Rest in peace, Emiel, we'll miss you.
