1. Sounds way way way too good to be true. I hope I'll have to eat my words but I just don't believe that at all.
  2. One element of that post that can be confirmed is that Guggi aka Derek Rowan was the only one of his siblings not to go to Mount Temple (where you know who ...). He did go to Plunketts in Whitehall. So maybe?

Presumably Adam has a honeymoon to enjoy for a couple of weeks. The band don't exactly give the impression of being still at work either.
  3. I think the album is done and we are waiting for personnel time and family stuff to be finished before they take all next year to promote tour ect.
I really hope something happens this year.
  4. i trust Guggi the same way as Bono hehe .. and even less being his words related by who knows who
  5. I'm skeptical, but at the same time, they just HAVE to be close to being done. I cannot understand how you can be working on a new album and simultaneously be all over the world. It just doesn't work like that.

    Agreed

    Seems legit.

Pretty much the same discussion over there ^^

However, for once I agree with dylbagz: they must be close.
  8. at this stage, it's only fair to consider it a dangermouse album as he's the only one that hasn't been seen in ages while the lads swan around the globe living it up.
  9. If Danger Mouse WASN'T doing it (I'm sure he is) and they use someone more U2-conventional/friendly I'll be pissed. I'm so happy they're not going with Lanois and Eno again this time around, that well dried up a while ago and I'm super pumped they're going with a producer who can stir up the pot, and on top of that who knows what's current and "cool". I don't give a shit about "cool", but a lot of the bands he's produced have written some awesome music and are "cool" as a result.
  10. I agree. Fresh ears can't hurt. I can't wait to hear the promo interviews. They've some explaining to do about the gestation of this new opus. It was reported that DangerMouse came on board back in 2010. I'm reminded of Bono recalling the late Bob Hewson's comments to his son after he was told that it took three weeks to record the Boy album. "three weeks!? How long is the bloody thing!?" Imagine what he would make of the length of time it's taking them this time 'round.
  11. Nice developments... too good to be true, but let's hope it is true! If they want to sell albums, they should release in November, like they did with AB. They're probably confusing us. Keep expectations low, and hit the world with a great killer single, right before Christmas. A good plan, although the music and only the music will make the difference. I'm quite optimistic, though: if the new album is better then NLOTH, and I don't see why it really shouldn't be, with the producer they have, what they've learned, 360 etc., I'll be so very happy.

    Fingers crossed!
