He was excellent against Leverkusen as was most of the football played by United. He just needs to continue to play like that on a regular basis now, he looked hungry and committed and that's what we like to see. A sharp Rooney is a threat to any team.
It's a big game on Sunday, the perfect occasion to cement his partnership with van Persie and silence United's doubters. A win would mean 10 points from 15 which isn't bad at all considering the tough start. If Tuesday was a glimpse of the football to come, I'm quite content.
