  2. I've checked with Steve Lillywhite and he is available between March 19th - 27th next year once Brian,Daniel,Dangermouse,Mickeymouse.Howie B and Flood have all had their input. lol
  3. To be honest, if U2 wanted to be "relevant" the formula's there. They already know what people are listening to. The fact that they are taking their time says that they probably have a different definition of relevance than we probably do (most pop artist go for the pump out tons of crap and hopefully something sticks every once in a while).

    I still believe the musical aspect of the album is and has been done for a long time. All these photoshoots and listening parties are for promotion, if you ask me.

    Y'know what this remindes me of? U2's ability to reinvent themselves completely in the opposite direction of a current music trend. Example: in the 80s thier music was known for feeling so out of what was the most popular at that time: New Wave; in the 90s, the bands exploration of European textures while Grunge and Britpop were all the rage.

    At this point with all the shock Pop music and the riegn of Pop in this time, the bands new album is bound to sound in the opposite of what's current today: Gaga, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, etc.

    Of course I could be wrong but when it look at the bands history, I can't help but see a connection here.
  9. You're right here. They always seem to do something that is not current or indeed ahead of its time. This is what has set them apart from most bands around
  10. I think they are always trying to be current but it takes them so F-ing long to release an album whole music scenes come and go.leaving them sounding nothing like the current trend.
  11. I actually really like the fact that we don't know anything about song titles or how the songs sound. Last time around we knew the GOYB riff about a year and a half before the song was released.Same with MOS and UC... the only problem is that we don't know how far they are in completing the album D: what if they aren't even close!?

    I just want it to be like David Bowie's approach. All of a sudden, he's releasing a new album and instantly we have a new song. I just want it to come out of nowhere.
