1. If you have a decent acoustic I think you only need a basic electric just to work out songs in the every day playing..., and then move on to the acoustic one when you wanna play out loud, record something or just bother the neighbours
  2. This is pretty cool:

I still love the new album btw, Arabella, Fireside, Do I Wanna Know and Knee Socks are my favorites.
  3. Was just going to talk about how Josh Homme also joined them at ACL Festival over the weekend. I'm really digging Knee Socks and most of the album actually, really good listening I can always throw it on and be in the mood for it.
  4. I confess I haven't listened to it in full since ages ago. Probably since the day after it leaked. I just listen to selected songs, namely R U Mine, Call Me When High, I Wanna Be Yours, Fireside and of course Do I Wanna Know which is still the most catchy song anyone has done in the past decade.
  5. I think its a great album, except I Wanna Be Yours and Mad Sounds I really love all the songs.
  6. No one else showing much love for Snap Out of It?
  7. Not really , I love Arabella, Fireside, Knee Socks and Do I Wanna Know. I think those tracks are the best on the album, after that come songs like Snap Out Of It.

But like I said, I think its a really good album. It rocks, but also has some popvibe which makes it interesting for airplay.
  8. Snap Out of It is weird, I want to like it so badly, but it's just alright imo

I like almost all the songs in one way or another which is actually awesome, I can't even name all the songs on Humbug and Suck It but can play AM essentially in full and not mind
  9. I don't like their new passion with the falsettos. Neither Alex or Matt Helders have a good falsetto -not even a decent one- so all the songs with extended falsettos, like Snap Out Of It, are basically mediocre for me. Someone tell them they have a terrible falsetto voice please
  10. I kind of like the falsetto on Knee Socks, it sounded great live. But at the same time I've heard that song so many times I might have also gotten used to it and lost perspective LOL
  11. Following the decision to postpone the show at the Birmingham LG Arena tonight and after seeking medical advice, Arctic Monkeys must also postpone the show at the Glasgow Hydro on Fri November 1st.

Alex Turner has been diagnosed with Laryngitis and is regrettably not able to perform. The show at the LG Arena in Birmingham will now take place on November 20th and the show at the Glasgow Hydro will now take place on November 21st. All tickets will remain valid for these shows.

We wish to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact the customer services at the box office you purchased your tickets for any further assistance.

Weren't you attending that one, Kieran? Sorry for those going
  12. I think this laryngitis is sort of self-inflicted. They were at the Mercury Awards the previous night of the gigs getting cancelled. I think the band have got smashed, Alex has used his voice quite a bit, something like that, and lost his voice and gathered voice problems. Very inconvenient.

Show at Sheffield is postponed as well.
