I was starting to think that the Dutch people were taking them down

I really like the cropped shot

Nicely done. Maybe there's one extra edit to remove that sign post/information point thing on the right?

Yeah, I haven't been to Zoo for like 15 years and... it got depressing. I bet that one day Zoo's will be forbidden.

The one with the frog was the trickiest one. It was almost completely dark. So dark that my auto focus wouldn't work. So I took like 10 pictures while manually rotating focus ring to get the picture that would be sharp.

Yeah I thought of cropping it of but I didnt like it since you get a similar situation with the flats in the background. Plus you loose one of them

Cant add more pixels to the right since the metal objects will come in view. I might do the later and remove it with some clone-brushing or the content-aware delete tool :/

Some zoos are better than others, but I get your point. Big animals need bigger living environment then they can get in a zoo.

Oh, that's what I meant. Not an edit with a further crop, keep it as it is and use whatever tool you're happy with to remove just the sign.

French newspaper Libération is about to score huge brownie points with photographers the world over. At a time when newspaper photography jobs are disappearing and some newspapers are replacing professional photojournalists with iPhone toting writers, Libération is removed all photos from one of its issue as a show of support for photographers.

According to BJP, the photo-less issue was released yesterday, and it wasn’t just a paper full of text. The frames where photos should have been were left in so as to emphasize how much photography adds to and helps to tell a story.
