1. It's really really good. might be their best. I have already edited the 10 absurd noise minutes off Joan Of Arc and tweaked some ends/fades, and I'm enjoying the album even more! (haven't got it phisically yet)
  2. They're playing at the Palladium tonight I really want to go OMG.i have no car though baahaha. Tickets selling at the door but I bet it'll be expensive.... Pretty jealous of everyone going tonight!
  3. The length is a little annoying especially considering spots of dead noise and weirdness but fuck it I say. It's what they wanted to make and all praise to them for going for it. The ball is wee and truly in U2's court and while I don't necessarily want them to make an album like this, I struggle to see how they will compete.
  4. I don't imagine U2 bothering to be experimental anymore, I just want them to make great songs even if they're straight forward. I don't see much of a competition between U2 and AF. If anything I want U2 to "defeat" Coldplay because I swear every Coldplay fan I know annoys me and claims Coldplay are better than U2 LOL
  5. It doesn't need to be experimental. I simply want them to record whatever it is they want to record without influences about relevance or sales.
  6. That would be optimal, but nothing further from reality I'm afraid.

Reflektor isn't really experimental. It has plenty of straightforward, "standard" tracks. It's just that everything regarding the album recording, build-up and promotion has been SO out of the ordinary, and then the album comes paired with a 55 years old movie, featuring a lot of strange interludes, a longer tracklist than it's usual nowadays, without clear hit songs, with a clear, defined theme all throughout, etc... No, it's not experimental. It's just brilliant.
  7. Tomorrow is the day for tickets. I'm anxious.
  8. I got tickets for the first show at Barrowlands, Glasgow!
  9. Nice Kieran .

I've listened to the album two/three times so far, its really good but I miss something to let me keep coming back to it. Don't really know what.
