  1. Ok. How good is it. I will buy it regardless of your comments, but how good is it, really. I want to get psyched for this. I feel their quality has dropped with each album, not that Burbs was bad but not as good as first two and their first was their best.

    I will translate the last paragraph for you:


    It's quite tempting to describe Reflektor as AF's answer to Rolling Stones' double LP Exile On Main Street, since there are strong similarities (album length, the amount of reverb, the agitation). But Reflektor is actually closer to classics that meant an inflexion point in their bands' career, like U2's Achtung Baby or Radiohead's Kid A. A passionate, thrilling exercise of risk and renovation, by a commercially acclaimed but mediocrity-fearful band. Butler sings “If that's what's normal now, I don't want to know” during Normal Person... Quite obvious declaration of principles. And "this" heaven won't be enough for them next time around.

  7. Plenty of time between May 2nd and July 30th for an European tour including some festivals, then back to North America, and then back to Europe and other parts of the world from September on.

    Also, nice to see that not all of those venues are arenas, there's also relatively small theaters and warehouses. It'll be interesting.
  8. I can't see a European tour in that time. I think late September, early October. I could be wrong, though.

    Less than 24 hours until I see them. SOOOO EXCITED.

  11. Festivals in May? Besides that one in Spain... Not many. It's almost 3 full months, plenty of time for an EU tour (hopeful wishing, maybe)
