if you consider U2 just a sequence of musical notes, a product the same way as diapers.. ok you're right

It's like that band have all just died or something. Everyone is so depressed about this. It seems like everyone is reminiscing about all the good times they've had with them like they are at a funeral. WTF? They are still making music and by the looks of it, touring. They aren't dead. They just had a change in manager.

Sounds like nothing other than restructuring of the business model to me and, yes, he maybe does feel a little old to be a day-to-day manager now. But he'll still be an active part of the U2 business. Not a problem.

A sad day...but the band will be fine. Its not as if Paul walked away in 1986, while the band were still learning the ropes, yet to play stadiums etc...

If the band tour next year, Bono will be 54 and U2 know what they are doing, as far as how their business is run. When Brian Epstein died, in 1967, The Beatles had no clue what they were doing , as far as their business.....and they weren't even touring anymore.

I for one, hope U2 go back to arenas, and play different opening tunes and closers as they did in 2005.

Or at least record 90% of the next tour and sell them as MP3, FLAC and CD's on their website for $15 like Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam, etc.
