1. A Note From Matt Cameron
Hello Knights of the Soundtable faithful,

I will be taking 2014 off from Soundgarden touring due to prior commitments promoting “Lightning Bolt” with my brothers in Pearl Jam and the desire to have more time at home with my family. I am trying to balance the many twists and turns of my awesome music career. This is temporary. I am still an active member of Soundgarden. Chris, Ben, Kim and I are in the process of finding the perfect substitute for the upcoming Soundgarden dates in 2014.

Thank you all for listening and the Years of Support!

    Loudest of Love.
    Matt Cameron

    bad
  2. I think it's bad either way. He should be dedicated to both bands, which is incredibly difficult to do. I want to see if they can actually find a 'perfect substitute' to play the Soundgarden songs, he's an ecstatically immense player whose difficult to replicate.

    bad

As a Pearl Jam fan (and one who is hoping for a 2014 show in my area) this is great news.

I think Soundgarden still has a LOT to offer the music world but I think Matt is best to be active with only one at a time. These shows in Berlin next June seem to be "one-offs" so I don't think it's that big a deal if he skips them.

    Maybe a certain Dave A.?
  5. Where is that guy nowadays, anyway?
  6. Last thing I read he was touring with a band called IMF
  7. "I'M Forgotten"

  8. they definitely won't ask references to Mike and Eddie about him hehehe
honestly i think substituting MattC is harder for Soundgarden than it would be for PJ

i won't say a certain name not to touch a band you're very careful lately
so i try Brad Wilk .. Rage Against the Machine and mainly Audioslave .. he already played behind Cornell
  9. Larry Mullen???

    He's not doing anything.
  10. can he stand Jesus Christ Pose nowadays? hehe

Haha, Barrett came surely in mind
But want to see some ma=ore Walking Papers next year as well
Gonna see them 3 times again soon

Dave Grohl has some available time as well I think
  12. Seeing that this is (supposedly/hopefully) temporary, they really could bring almost anyone who is available for the meantime.
