1. The comments about them being fed up with touring were taken out of context. It was in response to their current tour, which they were almost completing. I interpret it as typical touring fatigue. Brandon's new album is Brandon being Brandon. I haven't seen these farewell posts/videos, but I still don't think they're splitting up. This is just how The Killers operate. They get together for amazing work, then they step away and take a break.

I'd say that U2 has very similar phases. The only difference is that when they decide to take a step back from their music, they all take a step in the same direction.
  2. Not breaking up yet, anyway:

The current series of the ITV talent show is due to end on the weekend of December 14 and 15 with a host of big name guests performing between this year's contestants. The Las Vegas band, who recently released their greatest hits collection 'Direct Hits', will perform 'Mr Brightside' and 'Human' on the Saturday night (December 14).

Joining The Killers on the show will be Elton John, One Direction, Katy Perry and Tom Odell with Elton John duetting with X Factor judge Gary Barlow on the Take That man's new single 'Face To Face'. The show's final is filmed at Wembley Arena and will be broadcast live on ITV.

Last week, The Killers revealed that Hollywood actor Owen Wilson will feature in the video for their 2013 Christmas single. For the last eight years, the band have released a festive charity single. This year's, singer Brandon Flowers has confirmed, will be released on December 1 again to coincide with World Aids Day.

Last years' Christmas single 'I Feel It In My Bones' saw the band again team up with their former tour manager Ryan Pardley, who previously appeared in the band's 2007 Christmas video for 'Don't Shoot Me Santa'. Pardley played the role of a 'bad Santa' who rides a motorbike in place of Father Christmas' more traditional sleigh.

I like all of them but I feel like the last few have not been as good as the first ones.
  6. anyone heard this before? i think it's good a nice vibe to it.

  7. Ah nice find! I'm a fan of RAC I don't know how that slipped by me! I dig it

  8. Yeah, it was plated by the DJ in the warm-up to the Two Door Cinema Club show I attended this summer I then stumbled across it again a couple of weeks ago and had to share it on twitter. Nice remix. Really nice.
  9. I really like Christmas in L.A.

To me it feels like a refreshing departure from your typical holiday songs.
  10. One thing I realized. The Killers have still been really active for a band surrounded by rumors of a break-up. In the past couple months they've released two new songs on their direct hits compilation as well as a pretty successful Christmas song. If The Killers decide to empty their works-in-progress vault before they retire, I would be fine with that.

    Good point.

But I would like some farewell gigs or something
  12. Yes, I would like a farewell gig.

I'm also still a little bitter that I wasn't able to see them in a proper non-festival setting as of yet.
