1. Yeah that's what I meant, and what the KoL meant. Which means it can only be within the next couple months or in another 12 at the end of 2014.

I can see Beady Eye coming out to rub it into Blur with the whole Oasis-Blur rivalry too. I'd much rather Noël but he played here in 2011 and has recently said he doesn't want to tour anymore.

Promoter also said he's seen one of the new bands in London this year, and he was over there from July-August or so, some journalist researched it and The Smashing Pumpkins fit that, I think KoL also might too.
  2. Well the announcement was made today, replacing Blur are:

Beady Eye, The Deftones and the Hives.

  3. I don't know if you like The Hives, but they put on a TREMENDOUS show. I won a meet&greet invitation for their concert in Madrid exactly one year ago, and I went just to tape it and enjoy the 3 or 4 songs I knew......... and I went out of the show being an absolute fan. No kidding.
  4. No idea who any of them are other than Beady Eye. And I only know the Oasis songs and The Roller that Beady Eye have/play

They don't play Oasis songs - or at least they didn't when they did their first tour.
  6. Beady Eye started playing a couple of Oasis songs when they began the tour for the second album.
  7. In my opinion, the Oasis songs are all they have - they definitely don't have Liam's voice. So bad it's embarrassing for him.
  8. ^ what? Liam is their voice, isn't he?

Thanks Kieran, didn't know it. I guess they'll play just Liam-only songs...
  9. Yeah, Rock N' Roll Star, Cigarettes & Alcohol and Live Forever.
  10. Really? All those were written by Noel! And are among the most meaningful to him also.. It's quite strange that Beady are playing them

EDIT: from Wiki: Rock 'n Roll Star, like the majority of the band's songs from this era, was written by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. Noel said that "Rock 'n' Roll Star" was one of only three songs of which he wanted to say something. "I've pretty much summed up everything I wanted to say in "Rock 'n' Roll Star", "Live Forever" and "Cigarettes & Alcohol".

  11. His voice is so shot that it is embarrassing that he keeps trying to sing.

Check out Rock n Roll Star

I don't understand why but Noel wrote the majority of Oasis songs anyway so no matter what Liam chose, it would be a Noel-written song. Unless it was Songbird.

It's just a trick to get more people to Beady Eye's shows. He realised it wasn't working just playing BE songs so it was obvious he was going to cave in and eventually put some Oasis songs into the set.
