1. I instantly thought about Songbird and I'm Outta Time, yeah. It's strange they ain't performing any Liam-written Oasis song, of course they're obviously less known and less anthemic than the Noel's ones, but considering Liam's ego and relationship with his brother, one would guess he would refuse to play any material written by Noel. And well, of course it's a trick to draw bigger audiences (and because they just didn't have enough decent material to put on full shows by their own!).
  2. Liam has already gotten desperate by the sound of things. I'm not surprised he isn't playing Songbird - I personally think it's an overrated piece of shit. What worried me is that Noel thought it was a great song - never understood that.

There isn't many good Beady Eye songs. 'Shine A Light' off their new album is actually pretty good and catchy. 'Four Letter Word' isn't too bad, and neither is 'The Roller'. Other than that, they are all very mediocre.
  3. Well now....I have my ticket to Steel Panther. This Tuesday night on the STD Down Under Tour.
  4. Drew, I saw The Predators last night, thought they were pretty good. Not sure if you liked Powderfinger at all but I think they are the best side project since the breakup. Got the bassist (JC) and one guitarist (Ian Haug) plus an old member, Steve Bishop on drums and vocals. They should be releasing a new album next year. Well worth the $16.20 ticket. Met and talked to JC after the show, he's a top dude. Went to the same school as I did and he even goes fishing where I do back in the NT. Small world
  5. I've not even heard of The Predators. I'd pay a few quid to see a good hour or two show. Is this them?

Small world indeed, all the spots you were at. Pretty cool!!!

  6. This guys are supporting Scorpions in their shows here next year (March 8th). I would go if tickets weren't twice the price of a U2 concert
  7. ^ This is the second time I'm seeing them - should be a great show.

How much do they want for that?

  8. 100€ for a standard GA ticket. Last time I saw U2 (2010 in a stadium) it was 58€ a GA. It's just surreal. They're just squeezing fans since it's their farewell tour - I just hate that.

  9. No that's not them haha. I'll find you a link and post it back here. It's hard to find much on them, you sorta have to be in the know about them or else you never would suspect that they are a product of Powderfinger, but I think that's what they want with young families and the like. I guess I probably like them more so than Bernard Fanning because I just can't stand his new solo stuff.
  10. I'm contemplating as to whether or not I should buy a ticket for an Imagine Dragons gig in February. I want to see them again in a proper setting, but since I've waited too long, ticket prices are a little on the pricier side of things...
  11. It's ridiculous how some bands are one album in, got quite popular and are already charging astronomical prices for tickets. I'm looking at Imagine Dragons, Lumineers and Bastille. All below average bands.

I only heard that Imagine Dragons song that's been played on the radio a week or so ago, according to things I've read and didn't know what to think, yet it's got millions of views. Views don't really count for interest it would seem.

It is unbelievable, at least wait until you've earned your dues before you start overcharging - and those three, and another certain 'band' who I cannot stand whatsoever are all doing it.

Worst part, they have one or two 'hits', and think they're the greatest bunch of egotistical 'royalties' around. Like that Royals tune, that's the only one anyone really cares for, yet she's been proclaimed as some massive superstar. Sounds like every other song I've ever had the misfortune to hear. It's not like I absolutely hate modern music, there's heaps of good stuff out there, but what's been heralded as the future of music is anything but what I want to hear in the future.

And don't get me started on 'electronic dance music'. It's a sheeple's game.

Not really a fan of Bernard Fanning full-stop. I'd hear of them probably through some music press or some independent blog or something like that, but sure. Send me through some stuff and I'll let you know what I think.
