1. ^ I have this theory, and so does Billy Joel, that it's overpaid executives paying for the front rows.

So don't have a front row, just have general admission.

I will say I went to a concert a year ago or two, and it seemed more people without an appreciation for music who couldn't handle a two-hour show had turned up. I figure the same will happen for the Stones shows.

And I won't go any further than that.

They can justify it (unjustifiably) 'cos 'we're legends and all'. I went to the Robert Plant show earlier this year. Is he not a 'legend'?

$580 is a lot of money, I spent just over that in Sydney for four days including food. Of course accomodation cost me $100 or so - but I got to see three bands and spend four days interstate. Good luck getting a ticket, let us know how you got on.

THOSE PREVIOUSLY POSTED HANGING ROCK PRICES, HOLY FUCK.

    That is ridiculous.

Grabbed four tickets, was easy enough. I had four and my sister had four so we could have had eight for the Brisbane show. Still yet to miss out on tickets to any show ever in presale - happy about that record

And yeah, it is a Gudinski tour haha, but so is Bruce. And look what he's done

    2013

    Brisbane x2
    Sydney x 3
    Melbourne x 3
    Hanging Rock x2

    2014

    Perth x3
    Adelaide x2
    Melbourne x2
    Sydney x1
    Hunter Valley x2
    Brisbane x1

Why couldn't the Rolling Stones have done something like those?

Yes I am with you. The majority of people at the Stones shows will be corporate or just there to say they've seen the Stones. Most definitely couldn't tell you three songs from Exile on Main St.
  4. Wait, is that the album with Start Me Up and Satisfaction?

Least you got a set of tickets, congratulations.

As why they couldn't have done a set of shows like that, who knows. In relation to the show I was speaking of (the one where there 'was no appreciation for music), the songs were rather lengthy - as they are on the record and if you know the bands and musicians I like, you'll figure who this was - people were complaining 'oh the songs are too long, oh there's too much guitar, I don't like this song, why does he have to play new music, we want to hear everything from 1977'.

They'd had their tickets and box seats paid for, and they were complaining. You just went to say you were there. Which I thought was ridiculous, go home or go listen to your beloved 1977 record if its' too much missing out on infomercials and talentless hacks on some reality show.
  5. Cheers boss. Should be a good one. Not overly excited about it yet like I am for Bruce and PJ next year, but when the time comes I'll be keen as mustard.

My best guess is Meat Loaf?
  6. I'm still freaking out at those ticket prices. In fact it gets me quite angry. I'm not gonna visit this thread again in a long time I feel. Bye stoners!

I don't think they are, i wouldn't be surprised if the price was reduced by the time of the general public sale next week, as in similar pricing to the other shows with a top price of about $580, and not sold as part of the VIP package. GA and C reserve tickets seem to all be gone in the presale, with plenty of A & B reserve still available.

You'd be right. Still, it's the Stones, can't complain about that I guess.

I can't believe you both got 4 tickets to the Brisbane show... I tried to get 4 and well, despite being logged in right at the time and being all good to go - EPIC FAIL

I am trying in general sale Monday... fingers crossed!
  11. I guess it's just years and years of doing it haha. I just get lucky. Good luck!
