  2. If U2 wanted to create a tour that keeps the ticket prices down, they successfully achieved that with 360. I do agree that it'll be hard for them to play smaller venues if they want to keep ticket prices down. But I honestly think it's possible to please both the casual and hardcore fans in a single show.

    And while most of us here consider ourselves to be hardcore fans, as mentioned before it is the casual fans that make up the majority. That being said, it's understandable that U2 wouldn't want to create a setlist that pleases their hardcore fans while alienating their casual ones.
  3. Arena Ticket prices can be kept low.. The production costs are significantly lower as will things like transportation (based on the playing multiple dates) and venue rental. The band have also embraced sponsorship now so don't assume that indoor ticket prices will be sky high.
  4. I don't care where they play, all I'd like is multiple nights.

Genesis played a mixture of venues on their We Cant Dance Tour way back in 1992, For example in UK they played Knebworth Park (around 100,000), Earls Court, London 5 nights x 18,000, and some smaller theatres with around 2,500 capacity. They were huge back then and it must have been awesome to see them play in a theatre, arena and stadium environment on the same tour. A really great concept which appealed to all fans whose pockets were maybe not so deep as others!

    The 3 musketeers would be glad to play there.

    Prices will likely be higher than 360 simply because they can't tier it as much.

    You won't pay $250 for lower bowl/floor in an arena, but you also won't pay less than $50 for nosebleeds.

  10. $100 dollars for a GA ticket would be despicable. Way out of line, just greedy. Unless they do some Springstein 28 song 3 hour show every concert....
  11. I'm saving my thousands!!! yes, thousands... last tour costs were between to $5,000 - 10,000 cdn (tickets, flights, hotel, gas money and collectibles...... and new tent!!
