I was referring to the Snow Patrol song. But yes I don't think the new album will be similar to Invisible. At least I hope not.

I'm gonna disagree with that. I'm a lyrics guy myself, can't get into a song if I don't like the lyrics.
As Bono said, it's about being in a place where you see yourself as lower than others and "invisible", trying to prove yourself but you can't, far away from home, broke, all those feelings, that's the background. Then the song starts with a "revelation", the room clears of smoke and he feels like he doesn't care at all what they think..
For me, being in kind of a similar situation, moved to London, left home, trying to prove myself here, I really feel a connection with it.
It is some of his best lyrics in the last decade. It has a clear positive message and delivers it with powerful words.

The album could still be in a completely different direction.

It could. But it probably won't.

I like the song, a whole lot better than GOYB ever was. But I just hate the drum-machine. Skip it, just record Larry hitting it live instead of sampling it all. And I would love a bit more of Edge.
Still think the regular version will run 4.50-5.00 minutes with a longer intro, outro and extended solo.
Kudos for the boys, as the song keeps reminding me of the first three albums.
While confirming that “most of” the new record has Danger Mouse at the production helm – “There are some very different moods, and some extraordinary guitar stuff out of Edge” – he reveals that they “might experiment with some new people” before declaring it fully finished. - See more at: http://www.hotpress.com/news/10992254.html#sthash.wjWfvndu.dpuf
