Toner going up just before our try? Great seats, pity I'm not a fan of the stadium much. Although my only experience was vs France last year, not the best of days to go.

Yep that was the try scoring line out. What don't you like about the place? I know it isn't a patch on match day atmosphere in old Lansdowne road but by modern standards I think it is quite the spot.

Never been to the Aviva but it looks like a decent place. Have you been to Cardiff? If you think our fans are loud at your place, you must try it at home, especially with the roof down!

Not sure if I can get the energy up to watch France v Italy....

I haven't been to the Millennium stadium but if I ever do an away game that's where I'll be headed.

As for the Aviva, atmosphere was a factor. The artificial drums and crowd stimulation stuff was very offputting, I was shouting myself hoarse and the crowd just didn't get into it. I understand its hard to shout when we're not playing well but being quiet is hardly the right thing to be doing.
Going in and out of the stadium was a nightmare too, bottlenecked out of the gates while exiting, poor organisation. Should take a leaf out of Croker's book and just open everything and let people out easily.

I don't know if they're still doing the artificial drums, mind. I haven't heard them on telly anyway.

I haven't heard of the drums myself. Yesterday was my third game but only the first with any atmosphere worth mentioning, and even at that the Welsh fans played a big part. Australia in the Autumn there was absolutely terrible. I've been to roudier wakes. The place can come across as a bit cold with all of the exposed steel but I quite like it on the whole. I tend to stay seated after the game to let the place empty before making my own escape.
