1. it's amazing isn' it
  2. I find myself amazed at the thought that 4 half-Irish guys that didn't even know how to play their instruments 38 years ago have meant so much to so many people during so much time. I think that's what Bono tries to transmit a lot of times. And yeah, it's really amazing indeed.
  3. + 1000 to Kirsten and Sergio.
  4. Corbijn couldn't make another U2-video in 2012.
  5. ISHFWILF from Rotterdam 1993 (final show).

OMG the most beautiful thing I've heard the band too. The slow pace, the singalong, that improv in the third verse. Jesus Christ.
  6. Almost a Brussels 87 challenger. WOWY and Bad both fantastic.
  7. I forgot how nice the remastered deluxe editions were, just dug them out so I could put them on my computer in higher quality than I did originally.
  8. Oh Rotterdam 3 you sexy bastard. Faith in the band restored.
  9. I was listening to the first ZOO show ( Lakeland 29-2-92 ) . I tried to imagine myself there and tried to feel what was being there and see that big change on the band .then i thought that sure were at least one people that went to a joshua tree show and didn t know about the new music and looks form that new era.
Just went to show beacuse he/she liked the band but he/she didn tknow about the band since JT and when started the show and saw the stage , the new looks and the new music/ songs ... that sure would be a great shock !
  10. Such a person would probably think he/she is at the wrong concert The two tours couldn't be more different.

...this is the challenge for every tour. for example...NY/NJ second show of last tour got rescheduled because of NFL game...so second show became first show...during that show we sat in the 100 level, right next to the stage..EXCEPT for a few songs..most of the crowd sat the entire show.....all they wanted was the JT album,SBS,PRIDE, NYD and some other 'hits'

... true story...Seattle June 4, 2011... standing in line at the souvenir stand and lady behind me in late 40's/early 50's ask me 'who's playing tonight'??,,, ***I give strange look to her**... Lenny's opening followed by U2??, her response back is 'who are they'?? This gets a few more strange 'are you kidding me' looks from those around us in line... while holding back my laughing I ask her if she's serious... YES she says...'sorry the ticket was free'.....I really start to lose it and while all around her laughed...I started to list some albums, I get a blank look... I then tried some songs.... nothing....
*** so in some cases, it doesn't matter if they have or haven't HEARD of of U2**

i know ...but what i was trying to say was about the BIG change that the band did. And now there are a lot of ways to know about their new music ..in early 90 wasnt the same.

And now the band didn t change a lot .Of course some changes make but think about Bono during JT and then during ZOO . The hair , the clothes , the style and then the music. Think that the first show of Zoo was with 8 new songs in a row !
