1. By the way, Bono does a minimal one word change in the lyrics, which kinda makes it better.

"...unless, I start to think at all...
    OF those forzen days,
    and your frozen ways..."

At first I thought maybe we and lyrics sites heard it wrong on the original and it was always "OF" and not "ALL"...but just listened to the original and still sounds like ALL to me.

Small detail, obsessive fan behaviour, I know, can't help it :p

This time last week I adored that song. I can't stand it now.
Kinda want it left of the album. At least the band look cool

I had to stop listening to the song after the first weekend... now I'm starting to appreciate the song more.. The drummers added something special to the performance IMO...there was larry 'leader of the pack', when I first saw them I thought they would screw up the performance however their drumming added strength and power to the LIVE song.... in addition to that there were other member of the Rutgers band that played the xylophone which added depth to the song... (during a tour, there would be alot of 'added' sounds from the underworld. . again IMO the singing of Ordinary Love was fantastic and far better and more meaningful performed than Invisible...to be able to pick up guitars and just go at it, should show everyone that the band is ready to go...can't wait.

...good catch... and obsessive is a slight understatement

  4. I know someone who was. Everyone came away with a special beanie hat commemorating the night. Now that's a collectable...
  5. Sick patch!

And crazy song! Invisible feels fresh to me, I really like it and I have good feelings about the new album.
  6. I'm surprised after all that elevation they didn't get vertigo!

    *ba boom*

    I'm here all week

  7. (glad to have you among us again though )
  8. Oh my God. I see what people have been saying about the Invisible performance BUT the parts where Bono was just shouting at the crowd gave me goosebumps and I LOVED how the "there is no them/there's only us" translated live.

I agree, the ending was great live, I thought it might get boring or repetitive, but they managed to get it even more energetic than the rest of the song.
  10. I can't see all of the fuss surrounding last night, it was a bland performance in my opinion. The "there is no them" part is the worst part of Invisible and it came as no surprise that it didn't improve any last night. Bono's vocals did it no favours though.
  11. Bonos vocals were absolutely magical on OL. It completely changed my opinion of the song and if a performance like that doesn't make the general public interested than there's no hope.
