1. These boots all sound so good...I blasted LA 1 over and over today...the start is insane for LA 1..............some used to blast PJ for the sb/weak quality of their boots.....that hasnt been the case in some time (2003 ?)...

.....but these are far and away the best sounding boots from Legs 1 & 2

Chilling by the pool now listening to Rubber Soul !!!!
  2. The boots sound fantastic BUT the crowd is neutered. I wish they kept the crowd up a little more. And Ed, screw you. It's 10 degrees here with another 6-12" of snow on the way.!!! Hahaha!! Enjoy the pool!!!
  3. Ed (not Vedder) was commenting on how he was taking his son to BASEBALL practice.

I can only dream right now.

Just started Night 2 (LA) - a bit of a hiccup to start Oceans but otherwise a good performance of the song.

Once comment about Night 1 (LA): EV sings the first chorus of Jeremy instead of moaning it.
We have a candidate for the compilation!
  4. All good ...#1 reason as to why I moved here to southern Florida..

I have to admit though , I did not realize this winter was going to be the worst in the last 20 yrs...

Havent listened to N2 LA yet...but N1 is fantastic gentlemen !!!!!

When the Beatles first came to America, Ringo always said his fondest memory was going to Miami that February in 1964...and I quote "nothing like having the real sun on your face in the middle of winter"...Amen Ringo..Amen
  5. Faithful from Oakland is a disaster. no guitars (or some embarrasing fumbling around, trying to figure out the right chords)
  6. Oakland, LA 2 are easily my least favorite from the entire tour
  7. LA 2 looks solid...I havent heard it yet..whats wrong with it ?
  8. Admittedly, I listened to LA2 just once yesterday and didn't recall any significant issues aside from the initial rough start to Oceans. I'll have to listen to it again - obviously.

Oakland had many problems, the biggest being the previously-mentioned performance of "Faithfull" - it was awful. They also messed up "MFC" big time. It wasn't a good evening for Yield songs as I think there might have been mistakes with "Given To Fly" and/or "Do The Evolution."

I have to say listening to "After Hours" once was fine but I am now sick of it and skip it. Also, the X song, "The New World," does nothing for me.
  9. Also, if something is needed to give praise to LA2, it's gotta be the inclusion of "No Way" in the set, which hadn't been played since the PJ20 weekend in Sept. 2011.
  10. In fact, one can't deny the glory of each of the first eight shows in Leg 2 playing some sort of great-but-rare, new-to-the-tour songs:

    Dallas: Can't Keep
    OKC: Parting Ways
    Phoenix: Around The Bend
    SD: Tremor Chirst/Light Years
    LA1: Garden/All or None
    LA2: No Way
    Oakland: Thin Air
Portland: Deep (plus All Those Yesterday which was already played once in Leg 1)
  11. All the rarities sound amazing on leg 2. LA2 is a show I just didn't feel. It's probably just me. These boots a every objective. I didn't enjoy the set nearly as much as others. And LA1 was so great it paled in comparison.
  12. These guys can come back to Australia and do some (headline, non festival) shows any time they want. I miss them
