Actual Bono has been trying to rewrite the song, ever since it was released since he was factually incorrect.
The line about King's assassination "Early morning, April 4..." is factually incorrect, as his assassination took place after 6pm on April 4. When the song is performed live, Bono changes the line to "Early evening, April 4...".of coarse any real U2 fan already knows this....

Apparently they played it at the Melbourne show i went to in 2010, i cant remember seeing it though. Must have passed out from all the excitement.
