Tell us something about yourself, who are you and what do you do for a living?
Hi, my name is Jan, I'm from The Heart Of Europe (how is Prague called). I'm 37 years old (but I feel like 25

How did you become a fan of U2, tell us how it happened?
I've noticed some songs in 80's and remember I loved New Year's Day. But I've started to be fan in 1993 when my friend borrowed me a cassette (yes, it was about cassetes those days) with Dublin 93 concert. So those were the days I fell in love with U2.
Where do you most prefer to listen to U2?
Of course, live, on their shows

But I could listen to them anytime (in work, at home, on ways to somewhere). And it always gets my mood up. It is great about music... You could have bad day (or days), but there is always some music what cheers you up.
What do you think of Bono's charity works?
I think it's good thing and I appreciate it, he's doing a lot for it. But I'm not happy when he speaks about it too much on concerts. I would like if he separates those things. That's what I didn't like on Vertigo tour and it ruined songs like Streets and One... On 360 it was okay... few words about it and that's enough. Charity shows are something else, but U2 shows are abour their music, not charity. Maybe someone would disagree with me, but this is how I feel it.
What does your U2 collection look like? What kind of stuff do you have and how is it organised?
I've got all CD's and DVD's and except for NLOTH deluxe (which is too big) everything is in shelves with many many bootlegs (CD's, DVD's, looseless and mp3). It takes some space and my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy and complained about it in first years of our relationship

If you could go back in time, which U2-era would you like to be in, and why?
I would love to be fan in JT times and I'm curious how would be my reaction to sound change in 90's - 90's is my favourite era
Does anyone in your family or one of your friends like U2? If so, did they introduce you to U2, or did you "convert" them?
As I've said before, one my friend "converted" me in early 90's and I foud many other friends because of U2 (they are the same "maniacs" as me). But of course I've cconverted some people too, at first my girlfriend and she loves them too (She was at 11 shows with me. Just in 1997 we didn't know each other, and Prague 97 show is the only one without her).
How did you hear about U2start?
At first I found U2start because of bootlegs. I was browsing forums because of that... but then I found I can speak with people with the same interest and in few years U2start started (sic!) be the only U2 community I'm member of. Now I check it few times every day and probably couldn't live without that

How did U2start (or other forums) influence your music preferences? Did U2 fans influence you liking other artists?
Of course I found many interesting artists thanks to people on forums... It's always good to explore new corners of music and I hope I have influence to others too... that's great thing on communities like this.
What are your hobbies and interests away from U2, musical or otherwise?
I love concerts and travelling, which is good to combine. I've seen many great places thanks to live shows, mainly U2.So I attend many shows and festivals, and besides that I love mountains, hiking, sports (and some active, not just in TV), movies, books and (and it is my girlfriend's favorite hobby of mine
