    Expect them to be better in the second half though... problem for them is they probably need a win since it'll be hard to pass Chile on goal difference in the last round considering their loss against Holland.

  4. Wow, that is some disastrous championship for Spain! So surprised to see the guys going home so soon, I thought they would fall against Brazil on 2nd round or something like that. Deserved for Chile though, they've been consistently amazing
  5. Hard to keep doing well when you've already won so much and for so long. With hindsight, more U21 players and less veterans might have been a better choice!

    Italy similarly crumbled in 1986 and 2010... I'm sure Spain will be great before long

  8. I was surprised by Spain, that they can't change style of game. It's not working but they still keep to play the same. Haven't seen any use of sides, still playng short passes in the middle. And they looked that shots from more than 10 meters are forbidden. Maybe coaches fault?
  9. People here still believe The Netherlands are a favourite for the title ? After a couple of good counters and a good second half against Spain (Who just are over the hill) the Dutch media were acting like the WC title was already in the pocket. This team isn't good, especially the defense is just awful and when the Dutch have to make the game it is horrible to see.

    They could best face Brazil in the second round imo and that most likely will happen. Chile will beat Holland.

    Agree! Holland's tactics are all about as fast as possible handing over the ball to one of our star players and then let's hope they do something valuable with it. That can work out very well, but you are too much depending on them to be able to get far.

  12. Yep, but then again Australia went on full defense mode after them taking the lead, which made it easier for NL.
