  1. What is going on?! I don't know what to believe! Welp... Just wait until Tuesday I suppose...
  2. Tried a bit of these lyrics in Google but they don't exist yet. I somehow believe this dude, although it sounds like some bad joke.

    Fact is, U2 is still in LA they say. We haven't heard from them for some time now.
  3. I say the lyrics are BS. Anyone with that much access to the new material is not giving out that kind of detail or any detail for that matter. They are risking their job to give info to a U2 fansite? Doesn't make sense.
  4. Unless U2 wanted it to leak?? It reminds me of Moment Of Surrender! The single is entitled "Proof". One more for the road:

  5. I remember reading the vertigo lyrics before we heard it...

    Read any lyrics without knowing a song could sound strange. Who knows?

    The lyrics do sound like something from
    1984... Could this be something experimental?
  6. I don't know that the lyrics sound too out of place for a U2 song. I don't know that I would have believed that "sexy boots" would have ever been in a U2 song until I heard it either so these are definitely within the realm of possibility, though I am a bit skeptical that they'd have anything like this leak in the midst of all this controversy.
  7. There's no way this guy has access to the song that would allow him to listen again and again to get that many lyrics out of the song. At best, he heard it once.

    Also, if he had to sign an NDA, he'd have way more information than that. If I had to sign an NDA for every bit of information I came across on upcoming announcements, etc., it would take up my whole day.

    He might have a tip or something, but most of that is bullshit.

  9. Here are my thoughts:

    - I don't think the post is legit. It seems to be pretty specific and Matt is right; he'd need to have heard it a few times before you can get all those lyrics.
    - I for one would welcome U2 collaborating with rappers and going for an urban/rock mashup type of sound. (I'd prefer JAY Z over Dr. Dre though but oh well). I feel a lot of old school (cough cough old people) fans would be pissed with this musical direction. (Though I guess it would almost be like pulling an Achtung Baby and going into a completely new direction?)
    - IF those lyrics were real, who's to say it isn't from Dr. Dre's portion of the song?

    I'd love a U2/Dre collaboration. Jay-Z would also be amazing but I feel like everyone is doing collabs with Jay-Z these days.
