1. Woah, okay. I eagerly await Tuesday. You know, cautiously. Keep your hopes down low.
  2. Woah indeed - danny lanois, that's one good source there!! Let's try to keep it together, until then
  3. He could be referring to his personal projects, you know (sorry, don't want to be the party pooper).

  4. Thought about that. But I mean...it's too much coincidence, and he knows people will assume U2...

Albums are on the shelves not less than 3 months after the mastering has fully ended and the album is ready to be pressed. And that's just for 20-30.000 CDs and distributed only in Spain and selected Latin America cities, not for +1 million units distributed worldwide (I guess that procces would take even longer)... So if U2's album is set to be released in, let's say, mid-November, the mastering should have ended in mid-August at the very latest. I can be wrong and this can work out faster for some bands of course, but that would be my estimation.

These days it is about 2 months from album being completed to being on the shelves...
Remember though, with Zooropa the band were working on that throughout May 93 and it was on the shelves at the start of July. So 6 weeks max.
  6. I don't think Daniel Lanois would be tweeting something like that unless he was the producer of the new album. Maybe he has something big to do with the new iPhone. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple had some new program up their sleeves to do with music besides just the phone itself. Maybe both U2 and Danny are part of it, but for some reason I doubt he's talking about U2's next big project.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but unless U2 was seriously in with the new iPhone, wouldn't it be really dumb of them to announce their new album the same day as the iPhone 6 is announced? Surely every media outlet is going to be giving press to that, not to U2's new song...

I think there's two possibilities, either U2 and Apple are teaming up, perhaps along with a bunch of other artists for some new thing and U2's new single is a big part of it, or tuesday will fly by and we'll hear nothing at all regarding U2.
  7. Guess we'll have to sleep just one more day before we all know
  8. I'm sure more would have leaked by now or there would be more evidence if something was happening tomorrow.

I thought it took a bit longer, thanks for the correction. Nevertheless, the band didn't work on NLOTH (the closest example we got) until December 2008, did they? Anyway, Remy's right - only one day to go
  10. Wouldn't it be fun if tomorrow, for Apple's event, more U2 fans watch the live stream than Apple fans
  11. I have double reasons to watch. Can't wait.
