This is a great album for me. Although to read some of the reviews is laughable. I looked at one from earlier saying all the "oh oh ohs make them sound like coldplay. Hang on a minute shouldn't that be the other way round. Bizarre.

I've been watching football since 12pm, it's 4:08pm right now, and I've seen the new Apple commercial at least, AT LEAST 6 or 7 times already. Pretty exciting everytime it comes on lol

I agree, I stopped reading them because it's too much about being anti U2 (since that seems to be the hip thing to do now) than an objective music review (as far as objective goes of course).

This is a solid piece of work and the band seem pleased with the results (for a change). I find the overall tone of the album to be "loss of inocence" which is captured perfectly in the lyrics of some songs.

Bono sounds in great shape, so the band should reward us with a studio version of Miss Sarajevo as played on recent tours

As for reviews, I try to ignore them. If the reviewer was once in a band and experienced the process of coming up with an album then fair enough, they have an insight. Otherwise its just an opinion really.

It was great to read your blog, Kris. I think that, for a lot of kids, SOI can be their introduction to the wonderful world of U2 and it's a great idea to point them in the right direction. Nicely done!
