1. About 20 listens in, I've gotta say I think this album is their best since Pop

Funny thing is that, when the song was aired back in ¿January? 2009, it didn't seem so bad - it didn't seem bad at all in fact. I guess we were craving for anything new from them, and even a demo of Bono snorting over an Adam improvisation would have satisfied us.

That's what I said in my last post. I'm afraid it's the same for this album as well.

  3. I still like NLOTH a lot. It has its weak moments, Magnificent could have been MUCH better, SUC is too simple...but I think GOYB is a fun tune (even more live) and I appreciate the album because it is different from anything else they have done: it has a minimalistic, almost arthouse esque vibe.
  4. I think this album is more equal. ATYCLB , HTDAAB and NLOTH have pronounced high points and lowlights.

I remenber when i listened for the first time NLOTH. NLOTH ( the song ) blowed my mind and i wanted to listen it live . I think it was a strong song and amazing to listen it live . With this album that didn t happen to me. I like it very much but until now don t blow my mind
  5. My 2 least favorites, Volcano & Raised by Wolved, have been stuck in my head for 2 days. I guess they're growing!

Wait really? I'm surprised a lot of people feel that way because his voice is almost exactly like it was with Lemon. I think you all need to get your ears checked
  7. You also have to consider that Sleep Like A Baby Tonight is a dark song, and the falsetto sounds raw, broken if you want, perhaps to reflect better the f*** up reality of this member of the church. You can hear the pain, anger and disappointment when Bono sings those notes.
    Just my two cents.

I think you need directly a new pair of ears if you think that
  9. Nowhere near like the falsetto of Zooropa days- lemon and dirty day. Sounds like me attempting a falsetto... They must have wanted it to sound like that otherwise they wouldn't have kept it, 4 men standing around listening to a playback and evaluating with a note pad.

i feel that the full album is the darkest from the last years
