  2. It's been a long wait but what the hell, I think it's okay for us to be a bit greedy/impatient for additional material - and Bono, we know you've done it before but you've mentioned the second album so get the darn thing out there. We're all ready for it.
  3. and to add even more speculation (U2wanderer.org) :

    2014-09-11> In an article on Billboard today they mention that sources claim that U2 are ready for the backlash of this being an iTunes only launch and "to entice retailers, Universal is offering four tracks that iTunes will not have until November, according to sources. Some retailers could walk away with more tracks, as sources say Universal has three additional tracks for select retailers". The four additional tracks are mentioned and named below in the news, but these three additional tracks may be something new and exciting.

  5. Maybe the "Songs of Experience" Bono referred to represents the experience we the fans/consumers will have trying to piece together all the additional tracks!

    and they are totally right. even knowing a song or two, you have NO IDEA about the band's intentions on this album and the story behind - how could you anyway?

    There's just this picture, not even a title or anything (it seems to be this way) - just a picture of a half naked man embracing his half naked son - or even worse, just a half naked boy. ANd this is all passing customers in stores will see. Nothing else.

    This cover makes U2 finally one of the bands you have to excuse and explain yourself for why you love them!

    don't get me wrong, I do like the PHOTO, but it's def the completely WRONG album cover.
  8. I don't understand what the problem with this album cover is. If anything, it is provoking a reaction - for people to talk about it. It is a conversation starter. U2 obviously love people talking about them. The album cover is out there, it matches the personal and intimate theme of the album.

  12. I find it kinda funny, while U2 is talking about saving the music industry Tom Yorke (Radiohead) releases his album in a way that is new and should give the power (money) back to the artists.
