1. but where is the single!
  2. Maybe they're going for a "no single" strategy? Since everything around this album is so different to what we're used to, and they want to promote their "album is a unique thing - we want people to listen to albums as a whole again" stuff ?
  3. This actually made me wonder how a "complete" SOI would look.

    My attempt:

    01 - The Miracle
    02 - Every Breaking Wave
    03 - California (acoustic version)
    04 - The Crystal Ballroom
    05 - Song For Someone
    06 - Iris
    07 - Volcano
    08 - Lucifer's Hands
    09 - Raised By Wolves
    10 - Invisible
11 - This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
    12 - Sleep Like A Baby Tonight
    13 - Cedarwood Road
    14 - The Troubles

    A missed opportunity, definitely.

    This.

I don't see why U2 seems to think an album can't have more then 11 tracks anyway.....

  4. They put 12 on Achtung Baby and then seemed to compensate it with 10 on Zooropa.

Then they put 12 on Pop and compensated it with 10 on ATYCLB (Grace doesn't count ).

I'm gonna burn that 14 song CD anyway, so

    But I want b-sides
  6. I find the alternate mixes interesting: they're not as good as the original ones; they're probably older mixes. It would be interesting to know when they were recorded.

Apart from EBW, the acoustic versions really show the difference between U2 and the Stones... The Stones can play acoustically; U2 have pulled some good acoustic numbers, but Edge's mainly an electric guitar player - at least, that's where his immense strength lies.

I quite like Lucifer's Hands. 2 (3) excellent B-sides, it had been a long time!

And yes, nothing special about Invisible on SOI, but I like the mix, so won't complain.

  7. If they follow NLOTH's trend...

The Miracle [Redanka Street Busker Deluxe Remix]
Invisible [Radio Out of the water Remix]
    California [Californian Sunset Remix]
    Cedarwood Road [CedarTïesto Remix]

    and so on
  8. I don't agree with anyone complaining about the bonus disc. It would if been worth it if only had the 2 besides. When's the last time we got so much extra stuff and it wasn't s remaster edition?

    Sergio- I love your tracklist
  9. I mean b-sides not remixes. Which means new songs... You troll
  10. Honestly, this album, including everything from the 2nd disc is better than anything I could've hoped for... There is not one bad song! I mean, Cedarwood Road acoustically is a little weak, but this is the best album of the 2000's easily. I'd put it on par with POP.

  11. I know what a proper B-side is, but the band seems to have forgotten it I was just kidding with that!

Thanks Nick! I might burn it today so I can play it in my car until I get my hands on the physical edition
  12. im glad they released the songs, instead of just playing them live on the upcoming tour and never giving us a studio version, that would have been cruel.
