    Loved this version, the piano the strings and the more emotional vocals...I'd have vocals like this with the electric. Or maybe they can do both versions on different nights!
  3. Holy crap getting goosebumps from the acoustic version! This song has so many good things going for it. The instrumental build-up is amazing! Bono's vocals are heartfelt and raw! The piano melody is so simple, yet melodious! This is a song that is worthy of a full orchestra performance
  5. This has just about got me to tears. Quite amazing to see the boys in such form, this is an acoustic set worth including on the album.

    Bono on Chris Martin
    'We were playing with (Every Breaking Wave) for the last album and Chris talked us out of it. He said, 'That one deserves to be finished.' The half-baked version would have denied us this, so we owe him for that... he's a genius and a very self-effacing guy. He's one of our bodyguards.'


    I didn't know Chris Martin was involved during the finishing of NLOTH.
    As far as I remember EBW was part of the album tracklist till the very latest. Interesting bit anyway
