Thank you for contacting Live Nation Member Services.
In regards to your question if you were to subscribe now you would still be getting the North Side Story - We are not aware of what the next gift would be. If you do not want the North Side Story then I would suggest you wait until they have announced the next gift with next years subscriptions.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.

    Sincerely,

  2. renewing subscription RIGHT NOW!!
  3. Big news on Monday could be a Take That tour. I think they'll announce North American dates first. I could be wrong.

  4. Foo Fighters and AC/DC also have high odds (although none of them have their album out yet), but... What's the chance of a non-U2 big world tour being announced the same day as U2's new album worldwide release?
  5. If the sources about being in Canada in May, a Euro tour would have to start around February to give them a good month and a half / two months…even if launch was Feb 1, four months out is too short of notice for U2 tickets (as far as they're concerned, anyway). Of course, that could scale differently if they're playing smaller rooms (more time to sell out stadiums, etc.) though I don't think they're worried about the tour selling well.

If I recall correctly, 360 went on sale roughly 6 months before opening night in the US - tickets around the end of March for a start in mid-Sept.

Though I suppose it's worth noting that the tour began in Europe and those tickets went on sale around the same time, correct? About 3 months notice? Who knows.
  6. Not sold on it being FF. AC/DC, definite possibility.

Tickets for Barcelona (June 30th) went on sale on March 25th - just 3 and a half weeks after NLOTH went on sale, and roughly 3 months before the concert itself.

But this time could be different if they're eventually playing European arenas indeed.

BTW... I wouldn't bet big money on the tour starting in Canada in May. I understand your personal source could be reliable and trustworthy, but the band themselves have specifically stated that they want to be playing Europe in May - so I think they have actually ruled out that possibility.
  8. Certainly not betting big money, per se, but I have faith
  9. Rock Werchter will be held one week earlier than usual.
Reason : tour schedule of a big headliner.
Most heard names (rumours!) : U2 or AC/DC
  10. So...

Should I renew now even though my subscription expires in January?
  11. If U2 goes the fest route for summer 2015 I will be very, very disappointed.
  12. Old bands at festivals seem like such a gimmick to me. They pulled off Glasto, miraculously, and I would rather not see them try to continue to do that.
