1. The opening piano bit on the acoustic version reminds me of the Abbey Road version of "Sam's Town" by The Killers

  2. me of 'someone like you' by adele

  3. When heard it for the first time Yesterday I thought this was their Adel take on the song.

  4. I was thinking the same thing literally 10 minutes ago. It made me imagine Mr Flowers singing the song, he'd do great I think.

  5. Well spotted Lovely version btw (much better than When You Were Young).

After seeing last night's performance at Italian TV, and knowing how high Bono regards the piano version, I think they're going to retire Miss Sarajevo as Bono's "vocal show off" and the piano version of EBW is going to take its place during the tour. Which is a shame
  6. I wouldn't mind a mix. Piano version in a different slot on some nights, full band on others. In an ideal world, it would be full band every night for me, but I did start to warm to the piano version last night.
  7. If they'll play the piano version live, I'm gonna cry.

    yes
  9. The only thing that bothers me on the Studio Piano version : Edge slips on a (some) key(s) at 3:49.

  10. Ahhh someone else noticed it too!

I'm not too bothered by it because acoustic sessions tend to have a more "live" sort of feel to them. The little miss hits and Bono's raw vocals make the song feel just a bit rough around the edges, which I think suits this song quite nicely.
  11. I don't know why, but mistakes by Edge bother me more than mistakes by Bono.
    Maybe because they're more rare.
