1. Easily the most disturbing in U2's catalog. I remember commenting on a forum several months back hoping that U2 was going to release some songs with that "dark" feel (Dirty Day, Exit, Love is Blindness). This takes the cake for sure. Such a sad topic, yet a song that absolutely blows me away. Especially the alternative version.
  2. This may be a dumb question, but have U2 actually confirmed that this song is about peadophilic priests?
  3. In our article "The Origins of SOI" (a bit of propaganda does no harm), there's an extract from a Bono interview in the Irish Times where he says
"Then I went a bit further and remembered all the violence meted out to women by their husbands, the beatings children experienced from their fathers and how, at that time particularly, priests were sexually abusing young children."

Given that in the full interview he was giving the background for almost all of the songs in SOI, I say it's pretty obvious he was talking about the meaning of SLABT. The first bit of that quote explains the meaning of The Troubles too.
  4. Thanks for the clarification!
  5. I'm sure that when the promo tour comes along, the band will get to field a ton of questions regarding their songs. We just have to remind Fallon and Letterman to ask.

Or we just ask them ourselves on facebook
  7. I wonder how much they are giving away from that. Other famous people and groups have hosted AMAs before via reddit or twitter and many times they don't reveal much that they wouldn't have released elsewhere.

Yeah they'll probably pick out the easy ones that are album related. They won't tell us that they'll consider playing Acrobat

They should answer all the setlist questions be saying "You might be seeing some songs that haven't been heard in a while"
  10. This is both sides of the version told at the same time... Interesting experiment in my opinion. Listening with ear/headphones is mandatory since each vocal is panned right/left... Listening on speakers might drive you mad

  11. Listening with headphones will drive you mad too.
